How To Feel Better Instantly and Vibrate at a Higher Frequency In 2018

Title image

Improving your life requires you to change something about yourself—be it your mind, perspectives, attitude, bad habits, or circle. That said, a person unwilling to change won't grow or move forward in life or career. So let me begin by urging you, starting right now to stay open and flexible to change.
A meaningful life is not just about your money, status, education, popularity, and beauty. Although all these have their place in life and society, they are not the full package. A life worth living is more about integrity, gratitude, compassion, and kindness. At the end of the day, these are the qualities that really matter—how we relate and connect with The Creator and His creations.
So, let's look at how we can all vibrate at a higher frequency starting right now and every day hereafter.

SPIRITUALLY
"Every day, live in a way that honours who you are." —A.D. Posey
  • Meditate/pray daily: Take a few minutes every day to sit still in silence and think/pray for clarity and direction to improve your life and that of others. The New Year is symbolic for a fresh start. Why not join me and many others on January 7th and start the year with 21 days of prayer and fasting for spiritual growth and prosperity in all areas of your life?
  • Have Faith: Faith is believing in things only you can see and having confidence that they will eventually manifest in your life. No matter what's going on in your life, trust in a higher power to see you through it. Many people have seen some dark days, but their faith brought them back to the light. Don't give up—stay hopeful.
  • Sing along/Listen to your favourite old-time gospel tunes: I genuinely believe that there is healing in singing. It has the power to change any situation.
  • Got to a Saturday or Sunday morning service: It's good to get out and go to your place of worship and connect with your local community. Fellowshipping with one another can do wonders for the soul.
  • Help others: Volunteer in your community shelter or other non-profit organizations. Not only does helping others take your mind off your own troubles, but also workplace stress.
  • Show appreciation and gratitude: Give thanks and praise the instant you wake up every day. A simple "Thank you Father" puts a great start to your day. Thank people for showing kindness to you. They didn't have to. And appreciate the good and the bad in life. Sometimes, what we initially think of as being a bad thing, is a blessing in disguise. Never beat yourself up.
EMOTIONALLY
"Inside every person you know, there lives a person you don't know." —anon
  • Decrease outside influence: Television and social media can be very harmful to your emotional well-being. The news can be depressing as much as it brings you awareness. Limit the time you spend watching the news and other programs. This can be incorporated into your fasting as something of abstinence. Social media is a whole new ball game. From alternative facts to fake news to narcissistic individuals there is enough to pull you into a slump. Eliminate some people you follow who don’t support you or esteem you. Follow conscious people who inspire you and lift you up.
  • Take a break: Every so often, take a vacation from your regular routine. Go someplace new and refreshing. Rekindle old passions from your childhood, or go old school and pull out an album and indulge in the memory of the good old days.
  • Spend time with Mother Nature: Those of you who have read my posts before know that some of my favourite pastimes time it to go by the lake and watch the sky kiss the sea, or the sun sinks into the ocean or be mesmerized by the magic of the moon. I also find listening to the birds sing very tranquil, or just sitting by a fountain and listening to the rhythm of the water. Whatever you choose, the outdoors is a great place to clear your mind and get reenergized.
  • Manage your thoughts: Overthinking ruin relationships and create unnecessary problems in your life. Let go of any thought that doesn't serve you or threatens your peace or sanity. Think thoughts that make you feel well, confident, and loved. Know that the quality of your life is in direct proportion to the quality of your thoughts. Embrace thoughts to empower yourself and let the shift happen. Don't put yourself in a position of weakness.
  • Compliment others: Complimenting others far outweighs criticizing them. Practice looking for the best in everyone and everything. Lift people up and people will lift you up. Maybe not the same people, but it will happen.
  • Hug somebody: It has been said, a twenty-second hug releases the feel-good hormone and neurotransmitter oxytocin. This is the fastest and best way to feel better instantly. This stuff cannot be bottled and there is no other anti-anxiety or anti-depressant like it. The best part is, it works both ways—for the giver and the receiver.
MENTALLY
“The best version of yourself is all that you need to be." —Martellus Bennett
  • Read good material: There is a plethora of good book, blogs, and publications out there to help you grow healthy. I read three to four blog posts most mornings before getting out of bed and at least one new book per month. You don't have to overdo it. Simply make an effort to read more. Pick up a book to change your mood and your outlook on life. The wealthiest and most successful people in the world is said to read on average, one book per week. Bill Gates reportedly reads 50 books per year. Oprah shares her joy of reading by starting a book club, in which they read and discuss one book per month. Mark Zuckerberg reportedly makes time for one book every two weeks.
  • Listen to various inspiring audio: If you are not a natural or avid reader, switch up your music, listening every once in a while with podcasts, educational audio, or audiobooks and the likes. It's like having your own personal mentor at your fingertips.
  • Take a course/Attend a workshop: This is a great way to get out of the rut. Taking a course or workshop puts you in touch with new people. New people lend its self to new perspectives and ideas. Not to mention, it opens up the door for new friendships and bonds.
  • Set and keep goals: Goals keep you focused and grounded. They give you something to look forward to every day. They keep you hopeful, positive, and active. Set daily intentions for the things you hope to accomplish and keep a checklist to stay focused and on tasks. Also, stick to one task at a time. You are less likely to make mistakes and more likely to succeed at something.
  • Seek constructive feedback: Ask people you know and trust and who you know like you for helpful information about yourself. This will give you insight into how others respond to you and why. A constructive feedback should be sandwiched with two positives and a suggestion for growth or improvement. You should not feel bad about yourself in the end unless you are being hard on yourself.
  • Do a personality test: Personality tests such as Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Personality Dimensions, VIA Strengths Survey, DISC Assessment, and even your Astrology and Numerology are all free on the internet and will shed some light on who you are and why you behave the way you do. Not only do they offer incredible insights on your traits and tendencies to help you better understand yourself and the people around, they also give you the proper vocabulary to articulate who you are. IQ and EQ tests are also helpful and can be found on the Internet for free as well. If anything, these tests are interesting, to say the least, but most are scientifically proven. Try one today, it can't hurt.
PHYSICALLY
"I will not keep myself small so that others can feel big." —Andrene Gregory
  • Do Yoga: Yoga is the new raving way to conventional exercise. It involves mostly stretching and bending your body and is a blend of body, mind, and soul exercises. The focus of yoga is in the gentle style of stretches, which are suitable for all ages and sizes for a strong, supple body that is free of tension. Yoga originated in India and uses a lot of Hindu terminologies. It is believed to offer many complementary interventions for cancer, schizophrenia, asthma, and heart disease says Wikipedia. It also helps to calm rapid thoughts. Note that all these findings are mixed and inconclusive.
  • Detox your body: Every six months or so—around the end of summer and winter—purge your body of harmful toxins. When I was a child, my mom gave us the proverbial "washout". A mixed of steeped medicinal herbs or senna pod tea at least, one Saturday per month, or just about. It was the worst taste ever, but now, I attest my youthful skin and good complexion to it. Think of your body as your vehicle. You wouldn't drive it year in, year out, without taking it for regular repair and maintenance, would you? Otherwise, the tubes and engine would clog and things would start to go wonky, right? Next thing you know it is huffing and puffing and it starts breaking down. So your body works just the same way. Plus, you can't leave home without it. Your body is your vehicle of life. It transports your soul everywhere. Do the right thing and flush it out every now and then.
  • Eat to nourish, not just to feed: Make an effort to eat at regular intervals and hydrate. Reach for nuts, soy, grains, fruits and plant-based food, provided you are not allergic to them. The proper diet can extend your life! Eat to nourish, strengthen and repair your mind, heart, and body. Always consult your family doctor before drastically changing your diet.
  • Breathe deeply and consciously: To circulate the flow of blood from your head to your toes and push toxic energies out, practice conscious breathing. Take a deep breath in through your nose until your tummy is fully expanded, hold for a couple of seconds, then slowly exhale it through pursed lips while pulling in your tummy towards your back. Repeat this exercise three to five times or until you feel calm and/or relaxed.
  • Get enough sleep: Sleep gives the body time to heal and repair itself. If you are not getting six to eight hours of sleep each night (day for grave shift workers), you will eventually run yourself down. Sleep deprivation is the number one cause of accidents, mistakes, and irritability. If you can't sleep, at least, use the time to rest and relax with your eyes closed. This way, the body can replenish itself.
  • Get a pedicure: I read once “great pedicure can be as soothing to the soul as well as the sole." A pedicure not only makes your feet soft and sexy, it stimulates blood circulation and relieves tension in the body. If you cannot afford a spa or salon treatment, you can do it yourself at home for under $5. Walking barefoot in the sand when you go to the beach is also a good way too. A pedicure is great for your overall health and well-being and is a great distraction from worry. Go ahead! Pamper yourself! And remove toxins from your body straight from your feet.
  • Detox your relationships: One of the best things that you can do for yourself is to cut people out of your close circle that consistently lie to you, steal from you, disrespect you, or take you for granted. You may not be able to avoid them all the time, nor is it advisable, but you can't keep haters or hurters around you all the time either. Obviously, if these are your minor children you have to work with them; other than that, you just self-sabotage. Don't sweat over those who only love you in prime time either. See them and wish them well. Ensure that the people in your closest circle have your best interest at heart as you do them. And keep the pessimistic, dramatic and the narcissistic at bay—they will consume your joy and your time.
  • De-clutter your home and workspace: This goes without saying, but nonetheless. An organized space will cause far less stress, chaos, and confusion, especially during stressful hours. A clear space offers a clear mind. Get rid of useless and unwanted belongings. Create a place for everything and put everything in its place.
To sum this all up, take a mental snapshot of the highs and lows of 2017 and reflect on them in an effort to learn from them and improve your life in 2018. Share your success story with others to inspire, influence and impact their lives and cultivate change. People are often handicapped by what they don't know. Help others to overcome their own Goliath. Leverage your momentum and keep moving forward. Anticipate the future and stay hopeful. No matter what, things always get better. Realize that challenges keep life exciting. So, don't sweat the small stuff in life. And above all, don't let the opinions of others keep you from pursuing your dreams. Live your life in alignment with the vision God gives you.

Journey of Self: Who Are You?

How do you begin to answer this question? Do you begin with your name, relations, occupation, achievements, life status or family lineage? How about sexual, spiritual or solar orientation? No? Eight Tips For Successful Resume Writing

Are you looking to shake things up in your career? September is the perfect time to shine! So, take action and revamp your resume. While crafting a winning resume can be challenging, you can accomplish it with a keen eye for detail and a little extra time and effort. It's easy to get bogged down with questions about what to include or leave out, and how to stand out from the crowd. My advice to clients is straightforward: personalize it. While job titles and duties may be similar across similar occupations, it's your unique qualities that make you stand out. Just like we all have our own individual features, your resume should reflect your individuality. Here are seven best practices to help you achieve this. 1. Your Name To ensure your name gets noticed, it's crucial to use a bold font and keep it slightly larger than the rest of the content.
