365 Noteworthy Ways To Do You In 2017

Blog Post Title So the other day I was on Instagram and I saw a post which immediately gave me a whiff of inspiration. You may or may not have seen the mason jar note for different reasons. But I decided to do it with a twist. Instead of adding notes to the jar as you go along, you would pre-write your notes~all 365 of them! Basically, here is my twisted version for the jar: On New Years Eve or on New Years Day after collecting all the of the following items you would gather them together and begin writing one thing to do each day of the year to make your life better, bolder, stronger to feel more blessed and less stressed all year long. This may seem daunting at first, but I guarantee you that as your start writing and filling your jar, you will get more in tuned with it and begin to enjoy the process as you envision your life the way you want to see it coming to fruition one day at a time. The kit! To begin with, either tonight or tomorrow, go to the craft store or the

7 Ways To Free Yourself From The Curse of Debt

7 Ways To Free Yourself From The Curse of Debt A lot of people struggle with money—how to make it, where to find and how to keep more of it in your wallet. For a lot of you, money is  tricky—h ere today, gone tomorrow. But where it goes, only a few really knows. So here are 7 principles of financial freedom that will help you manage your money like magic; so that you can feel blessed instead of stressed. 1. Give back to help others prosper. Hands holding money: Give back This is a principle that was instituted from the days of old.  It means to give to others with a cheerfully and voluntarily heart, a portion (biblically, a tenth) of what you earn, without any form of expectations. Your blessing is in direct proportion to your selfless giving or service. According to social psychologists, the Law of Reciprocity , says that when you do something nice for someone, he/she will have a deep-rooted and psychological urge to do back something nice for you. The Women Empowerment Brunch

Women empowerment brunch, photo credit: Sofi On Sunday, August 14, 2016, we had our annual summer brunch.  This event started with my girlfriend wanting to end the summer on a great note a few years back, August 2011, to be exact.  She invited me and six other of her closest friends along with a couple of her neighbors to spend the day in her beautiful home and garden. We had such an amazing day we decided to make it an annual thing—Dawn's Big Hat, Long Dress Garden Brunch. The pictures got raving reviews on facebook.  As time went by, more and more people started requesting invites or asked why they weren't invited.  My girlfriend being a people lover and having a huge heart decided to open her doors to more people the following year. Six years later, it has come to be known as the Women Empowerment Brunch, with over 30 fabulous ladies in their long dresses, big hats and lots of bling! This year, we collected non-perishable items to be delivered to a woman's shel

Daily Affirmations

Feeling down on yourself?  Here are a few simple affirmations to pick you right up! Affirmations are powerful tools to keep you feeling positive, motivated and upbeat. Start clearing your head of negative thoughts and emotions with these simple yet powerful messages. Speak them into existence and watch your life transform. You can be, do, or have anything you set your mind to.  The Bible tells us that:  When you make a decision and declare it, it will be carried out and the light will shine on your life.  All you have to do is "think higher and feel deeper". Soon, you will start to vibrate on a higher altitude that is bound to change your attitude, thus, your life... Pick anyone of these to start, or create your own. Before You Begin: First, find a quiet moment and relax your breathing and your body. Then close your eyes and let go of any or all expectations you have of yourself and/or others. Next, put yourself in the mind frame and vibrational energy you w

WOMEN EMPOWERMENT: How can we empower each other?

Aggie Strong's blog post title: Women Empowerment: How can we empower ourselves and each other? The other day I was asked to give a talk on women empowerment to a bunch of ladies at a brunch , so I have decided to share it in its entirety. Here we go! Today I will be talking about women empowerment and how we can help to empower ourselves and each other using what I call The 8 A’s of Empowerment , being: Aggie Strong's 8-A pyramid of empowerment Awareness Acceptance Assertiveness Affirmations Accountability Ability Association Actualization For me, women empowerment involves developing a greater sense of confidence, courage and well-being in our own individual capacity. I strongly believe that by increasing your own personal, spiritual, social, political, physical, mental, emotional and economic strength you raise that of others. It is also about females supporting each other and bonding together. And, it is about each and every woman livi

Aggiestrong Blog Post Title, credit pathani Is the hot weather waning your motivation? Is Mother Nature playing with your mood? Feeling a bit bummed out and not sure why? If you are like me, an introvert who works from home, you may be feeling a bit of apathy these days. You know, blazay-blazay; or kind of ugh!  When I shared my lack of motivation with my mentor she said that lately, she had been feeling the same way herself.  Whew! Cause I was about to diagnose myself with depression.  Hence this post.  So, here are some things you can do to break the summer blues—because as happy as the sun is, it can make some of us sad and blue. Get Enough Sleep Sleeping girl: credit Flickr Studies show that short starry summer nights and long sunlit summer days can cause a sleep deficit.   Not getting enough sleep can seriously impact your mind and body's ability to do their jobs properly.  When you are sleep deprived, your body produces more of the stress hormone, cortiso
